Björn, do you mean you want independently scrolling panes? We have that in options.

was quite unsatisfied with the common solutions as newsgator, bloglines etc. and feel home @ newshutch now, so many thanks for the good work ;)

theres just one function í´d really appreciate: moving the columns and categories to a requested screen position. having 20-25 feeds listed on a laptop-resolution of 1024 x 768, scrolling down to get the final feed gets on your nerves ;)

cheers

I could not resist to write this comment.
Newshutch is damn cool. I have been trying a lot of blog readers. I started with Newsgator and never switch since I found nothing compelling enough to switch. Newsgator WAS good enough. But no longer true. I am using Newshutch from today.

Few points I think Newshutch got it :) Well, at least the software suits my needs.

* Easy to use. Really. I can do basic stuffs without much efforts. Unlike Newsgator. Basically what I do on day to day basic is add feeds, delete feeds, organize feeds. These tasks must be done easily. And Newshutch makes it so.

* Clean UI: easy to read fonts, neat design.

* FAST. I don't know why Newshutch is damn fast. I don't have to wait to read my last hot posts.

That's all I need from a blog reader.

Your url above doesn't allow for a feed that ends in /feed/. It throws a 404 error,

Aleks, Adding the subscriber count to request headers is something we'll do eventually. Until then, if you think our buttons are an insidious plot, remember, they're optional.

Ping APIs are overkill I think. Are we really that compulsive about instant notification of everything that's published?

And why would publishers promote a service that does not allow them to track how sucsessfull there content is?

For example: Newshuch does not inform the feed sources about how many subscribers there are. And neither are they trackable from services such as FeedBurner.
